Registration still open!

Are you still thinking about attending the Bryophyte Workshop?

Yes, you can still register! There are still vacancies.

Rawnsley Park StationAt present we are expecting 12–15 people to attend the field section in the Flinders Ranges, so it will be a small and helpful group—good for learning.

Contrary to fears, this looks like being an exceptionally good year for rainfall in the Workshop region. To the end of June, Quorn (the nearest town to Pichi Richi Park) has received 208 mm of rain this year, rather better than the average of 149 mm. This should mean a very suitable season for bryophytes.

The owners of Pichi Richi Park are very pleased to be hosting the workshop and are keen to learn more about the bryophytic inhabitants of their property, so we should have a very enjoyable time

Even if you are not able to come to the Flinders Ranges, consider coming to the Adelaide portion (Thursday–Friday). This will include a short trip into the Adelaide Hills and then some time in the lab to give people help with identifications. We will have some experts in difficult groups with us (e.g. John Spence, Bryaceae expert from USA), so this could also be a good opportunity.

…and remember there’s some funding available to assist students to attend.
